Union Church of San Juan

The Orfeón San Juan Bautista is a professional 42 mixed-voice choral ensemble. Those who attended their previous performance here at Union Church, “Misa Criolla,” described it as “angels singing.” We know all who attend the May 20 concert will be blessed. The repertoire includes the world premieres of Javier Jacinto’s Motete en mi, and Benjamin Montalbano’s i carry your heart. Becoming a member of a church is a very important step in the life of a Christian. If you’ve been attending Union Church, but are not yet a member, we would like for you to consider membership with us. We invite you to attend either of two upcoming New Member orientations, Tuesday May 22nd at 7pm or Sunday May 27 at 12 noon. During this orientation, you will meet the pastor and the members of the Church Council, and have the opportunity to learn more about our church and what it means to become a member.

We are proud to present A Recital To Benefit Bill’s Kitchen at Union Church on Friday, 20 April 2012, beginning at 7pm. The show, "Bel Canto, Broadway & Baladas," will feature a variety of Classical music, Show tunes, and popular Ballads, performed by artists Meechot Marrero, Carlos Lamboy, César Torruella, Jesús Rodríguez, and Jo-Anne Herrero. Come, relax, forget your troubles, and enjoy an evening of beautiful and uplifting music. On Friday evening, March 17th, at 7pm, the world-renowned Harvard Glee Club will join forces with San Juan’s own Children’s Choir (“El Coro de Niños de San Juan”) to present a free concert at the Union Church of San Juan.

Everyone - local residents and visitors of San Juan and the island - is cordially invited to celebrate this event culminating a month of studies on friendship. Beginning at 9:15 with our Bible Study hour followed by our 10:30 service with a very special time of worship and a message that I will be sharing - What It Means To Have Jesus for a Friend. We will then have a time of fellowship in our beautiful patio area.

On Sunday, January 15th, at 10am, we will inaugurate our new "Kidz 4 Christ" Children's Church. "Kidz 4 Christ" is a new program for students between the ages of 4-12 years old. The students will meet together for Worship Time where they will worship through Music and Movement. Then the pre-schoolers (ages 4-6) will go off to their New Pre-School Room to complete their daily lesson while the older kidz (ages 6 1/2-12) will stay in Children's Church to listen and learn through a dynamic sermon, share an offering, and pray.
